New trends for 2023/24

First of all, thank you to all the people that came to say hi! We really appreciate it and hope we will see you very soon. The main global trends that we could see at Heimtextil 2023 was circularity, earthy and metaverse trends:

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

It’s time to think circular. We need to rethink how we source, how we make, and how we ensure textiles and products can be reused, reworked and never be part of waste and pollution. We have created our new product line UPfabrics to contribute to circular economy and give a second life to unwanted fabrics. Also you can see here our post-consume recycled jeans collection.

With UPfabrics textiles we repurpose and transform old stocks into new valuable textiles, promoting s closed loop process; any residual or discarded fabrics are collected and converted into yarn that we reuse to weave new fabrics. This way no waste is generated and natural resources are preserved.

FROM EARTH

From Earth trend conveys deep respect for nature in all its richness and diversity. Natural variation and roughhewn finishes give eco aesthetics a crafted feel. Nepal collection is our bet to reconnect with nature and use its richness to color our recycled fabrics.

METAVERSE COLORS

Finally, one of the most viewed trends was the metaverse, followed for the Pantone color of 2023 Viva Magenta, aka Pantone 18-1750, that was described as “an unconventional shade for an unconventional time.” For 2023-2024 we will enjoy a palette of energizing and nuanced bright colors. These saturated hues feature added complexity that suggests the effects of age, wear transformation through time and processing
