Hispano Tex Joins the Circular Fashion Pact: Commitment to a Sustainable Future in Textiles

Hispano Tex is proud to announce its commitment to sustainability by joining the Circular Fashion Pact in Catalonia. This pact, led by the Government of Catalonia and key stakeholders in the textile industry, aims to transform one of the world’s most resource-intensive and impactful sectors into a model of circular economy and environmental responsibility.

The Circular Fashion Pact brings together textile producers, waste managers, government bodies, universities, and environmental organizations to reduce textile waste, increase recycling, and lower the industry’s climate footprint. Among the pact’s goals for 2024 are a 5-10% reduction in textile waste generation, a 25-30% selective collection rate, and an increase in recycling rates. These goals align closely with the European Union’s Circular Economy Strategy, promoting values such as durability, recyclability, and transparent production — all of which are integral to Hispano Tex’s approach.

Leadership in Sustainable Textile Manufacturing

With over 60 years of experience, Hispano Tex has maintained a steadfast focus on sustainability throughout its history. As a B2B leader in high-quality recycled textile production, we ensure local and environmentally responsible manufacturing by working with a 100% local supply chain. This vertical integration allows us to apply strict environmental standards, minimizing our carbon footprint while supporting the local economy.

Circularity and Innovation

Through our commitment to the Circular Fashion Pact, we are expanding our focus on circularity by incorporating high percentages of recycled materials and investing in R&D to advance product design and material recycling. We aim to develop fabrics that last longer and are designed for reintegration into the production cycle at the end of their lifecycle.

Building a Greener Future

Joining the Circular Fashion Pact reflects our dedication to a sustainable future for the textile industry. As we look ahead, we will continue to advance our practices, enhancing sustainability and circularity in every aspect of our production. Together with our partners in the pact, we’re shaping a future where fashion is not only sustainable but also beneficial to both people and the planet.
