Linen · cotton recycled
As we already know, the use of recycled fibers and produce in a sustainable way is really important. By using upcycled linen and cotton fibers we obtain the following benefits:
- 55% reduction in water consumption compared to conventional cotton and linen.
- 35% reduction in greenhouse gas and CO2 emissions.
- 62% less energy consumption than conventional cotton and linen.
- Conventional cotton uses about 16% of the world’s insecticides and 7% of pesticides.
So, for one meter of MIRETAN, we save: 1.449 liters of water, 257Wh of energy- saving and 122gr less of CO2 in the atmosphere.
Also, this new collection is 52% certified by GRS (Global Recycled Standard): an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of Recycled Content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions.
