From waste to recycled fabric. A circular industry.

textile waste

Since 2018 we have been supplying recycled fabrics to the home textile industry; sustainability and circularity is woven into our DNA.
We offer innovative textile solutions that protect our environment and help minimize our impact. Recycled raw materials, minimal CO2 emissions, reduction of water consumption and energy-efficient fabric manufacturing processes have been and continue to be a priority in our business model.

TEXTILE WASTE IS OUR RAW MATERIAL

Textile waste is our raw material, and we use it to create high quality recycled textiles.

sustainable fabrics

EMBRACING SUSTAINABLE FIBERS

In our textile collections we tend to use fibers that are environmentally friendly and sustainable, such as recycled linen and viscose. Linen fibers is a sustainable option because the entire flax plant can be woven into a fiber, which means that almost no waste is left over from the spinning and weaving process.

reducing plastic waste

REDUCING PLASTIC WASTE

We manufacture recycled polyester fabrics that contribute to reducing the plastic waste generated in our planet and implement high control measures to recycle and reuse plastic in our factories. Our yarn, packaging and weaving yarn cones are made from recycled plastic and we reuse them to avoid creating waste.

recycled cotton fabric

REDUCING VIRGIN COTTON

We are committed to always using pre and post-consumer recycled cotton fibres in our textile collections. We believe recycled cotton is the solution, and this is why we have spent years working on improving processes to reduce our water footprint and choosing more efficient dyeing processes, with a low water consumption.

How we are reducing our natural resources consumption

Less water consumption

We are committed to use water responsibly throughout our entire supply chain. Choosing fibers and materials with a lower water footprint, improving processes to reduce water consumption and collaborating with companies and suppliers with new technologies to reuse water in our processes.

Less chemicals

By using recycled raw materials, we reduce the use of chemicals like insecticides and pesticides in the process of growing cotton crops. Furthermore, we have spent years optimizing methods to lower our water footprint and using more efficient dyeing processes that use less chemicals.

Developing sustainable fabrics

Our textile innovation team works relentlessly to keep creating and developing new fabric collections that use sustainable materials and low-impact fibers. Furthermore, we are committed to establishing processes that are respectful to our environment and ecosystem.

Energy saving

We have reduced overall energy consumption in all our production processes through monitoring and optimizing our machines and looms. In our strategy we are working towards decarbonizing our business model and using more renewal electricity. One of our energy goals for 2023 is to use renewable energy in all of our production centers.

0 textile waste policy

We are committed to generate zero textile waste in our manufacturing process applying an effective internal recycling process for waste fabric, yarns and garments. The yarn that we use to weave our textile collections is made from our own textile waste, promoting upcycled production by repurposing textile waste to create a new high-end recycled yarn.

Minimal CO2 emissions

We reduce global CO2  emissions with the optimization of processes, the reduction of energy consumption, the use of recycled materials and renewable energy.

Slide Our production center is going green with the installation of 1,475 solar panels for sustainable energy

100% RENEWABLE ENERGY

The solar panels installed in our factory are integrated into the internal power grid and have the capability of generating nearly 30% of the total energy consumption.

The system includes a generator with a rated power of 700 kWn and 800 kWp of peak power. Additionally, we procure the remaining energy required for our operations from sustainable and eco-friendly sources.

By utilizing 100% renewable solar energy, we are able to prevent the release of 1.789 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, which is equivalent to planting 10.734 trees.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECTS IN HISPANO TEX

Promoting a cleaner and sustainable economy

HISPANO TEX has received funding for its energy savings and efficiency project titled ‘Replacement of Two Compressors with a High-Efficiency Compressor,’ co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), coordinated by the Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE), and managed by the regional governments, through the National Energy Efficiency Fund, with the aim of achieving a cleaner and more sustainable economy. A comprehensive energy improvement project has been developed, consisting of the implementation of a high-efficiency compressed air generation system. Thanks to the project, an annual saving of 8.66 tons of oil equivalent (toe) is achieved.

INNOVATION

CHANGING THE WORLD THROUGH INNOVATION.

We believe innovation and sustainability are inseparable, they go hand in hand. Innovation is the tool that allows us to create solutions for the great environmental and social challenges we are facing in the textile industry. All of our innovation proposals have to be tied to design that is in turn linked to the values of our company – essentially durable, sustainable and beautiful textiles.
