  • The DETOX iniciative

    A campaign by Greenpeace

Hispano Tex is proud to inform that we have recently subscribed to the worldwide DETOX initiative as part of our corporate responsibility program.

The Detox commitment aims for the progressive reduction of pollution emissions within all industrial production processes, and has been joined by brands like ALDI, LIDL in regards to home textiles, amongst other enterprises. This initiative is supported by a coalitions of NGOs organizations which form the Green Choice Alliance, to promote a green global supply chain so that manufacturing enterprises can exercise their purchasing power to make green choices, following CGA consumer initiatives. GreenPeace is one of the major NGOs partner of the Detox program, as well as IPE (Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs) in China. The latter one has enables an online platform with a World Pollution Map as well as a DDBB of all suppliers and manufacturers willing to participate in the Detox initiative.

Hispano Tex is strongly committed to sustainability so when we learnt about it, we immediately contacted the Green Choice Alliance and they sent us auditors to supervise measurements of chemicals and production processes for the last couple of months. Now you can find us listed on the IPE platform in this link: http://wwwold.ipe.org.cn/en/pollution/discharge_detox.aspx, using the search option. You will be able to check all the types of emissions we produce and discover our production processes are already mostly within the DETOX standards. Yet we are aiming to implement further improvements to make our production centers even more environmentally friendly than they already are before 2020, which is the directive given by GreenPeace in these regards.

    2

In the fashion scope, worldwide brands have joined into the Detox Catwalk aiming to promote free-toxic fashion. In Home textiles the initiative is still general, yet Green Peace parameters are the same for all brands, producers and manufacturers.

  • Botanical design trend for this summer 2017

    Banana leafs & tropical prints

Exotic plants, leafy jungle prints and tropical style are in vogue for both Spring & Summer this year, a trend that will be present both in fashion and in interior design. This botanical designs trend started to show up already on 2015, but has continued over the last two years consistently. An in 2017 this trend is further supported by the color of the year Greenery Green. You can also find this trend in both fashion and home décor this year with all shades of green including all types of botanical and nature elements into the prints.

For interior design, botanical trend works so amazingly well with Nordic interior design: white and muted colors, natural wood and minimalistic decoration.

Banana leafs, Monster deliciosa (also called Swiss cheese plant as the grown plants holes resembles the holes of a Swiss cheese), palm trees, big jungle leafs and snake plant will be very relevant within the botanic elements represented into prints:

Obviously, this trend is all about the natural world, so when choosing colors, take inspiration from Mother Nature and stick to a palette of greens, blues and neutrals – think in olive, khaki, sea green and rich emerald colors.

  • 2017 curtain trends

    Curtain for home

This year, there are some relevant trends worth mentioning in regards to curtaining. Here are some of them as well as a list of the fabrics and prints done by Hispano Tex that cover these trends better:

    1. Plains

    post1 Source: NORM ARCHITECTS

Organic look: earth and nature colors, in light shades, inviting to relax. Our Lainen and Micado fabrics go very well with this trend, in beiges, off-whites, creams. In Scandinavia, the linen look for curtains with darker browns and greys is very strong, as Scandinavians search to make the house look warmer but modern. Also there is a stronger environmental awareness within Scandinavian population to use organic fair-trade materials, that not only are healthier inhouse, but also are eco-friendly.

Pastel-colored fabric lace curtains to give rooms a look of a calm place with a romantic touch. Our best-seller Mikonos and also for Ikaria in vanilla, Snow-white, aqua, pearl, ash colors, from our standard color card.

Light metallic sheer fabrics: Mikalik, and Ganges, with a metallic gold or silver yarn incorporated, elegant and modern.

Matte translucid fabrics: like Assam and Krishna, in our series Bengala, especially on those countries where there is less sunlight, it is important the fabric allows most of the light through the window, yet maintaining the privacy.

    2. Prints

    post5 Source: HouseBeautiful

Botanical elements: Serie Finesse, both in Prada and Mikonos: abstract representation of the natural world

Metallic luxe: serie  Luxury, with designs Dinasty and Infinity, will continue strong trend this season, but for the spring/summer in warmer colors than for the winter. Base neutrals of soft greys, golds mixed with light beiges, light blues and greens with silver metallic, but with a washed effect so it gives a more vintage look. Serie Oldage, with a wide range of colors of metallic print, with flower and tiling patterns.

    post7 Source: Pinterest

Geometrics: Micro Patterns, this is a recurring trend over the past few years, that though changing color palettes, stays strong this season, especially with dazzling micro-repeats. This look works better including a relevant color contrast so that intrincate details show up. This season we can outline blues/white combinations. Serie Cubista: Picasso, Braque, Leger, in indigo blue and aqua green. Serie Denmark, designs Tonder Oudense, with different shades of blues.
